Job Description
Vanilla Breeze is seeking confident, self-motivated, experienced mobile software engineer to join their growing mobile game studio in Mapo, Seoul. The new hire will be working with various teams within the studio to help streamline development requirements with 3rd party integration tools.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Discover, integrate, and monitor performances of various mobile-specific 3rd party tools/services to maximize user acquisition, user retention, and revenue.
- Work with Monetization Manager to find the optimal combination of API/SDKS from monetization partners (e.g. Admob, Tapjoy, Chartboost, Playhaven, Mopub, Greystripe etc).
- Implement analytics support into the client to ensure that the behavior of the game can be deeply analyzed during its operation (e.g. Flurry).
- Work with various team leads to help them decide and accelerate integration of emerging mobile APIs (e.g. bug tracking, user testing, QA management, etc).
• Regularly communicate with, and learn from mobile OS providers and 3rd party partners to ensure integrity of existing and upcoming new titles.
- Test existing apps and games in the latest/beta OS versions and make necessary updates and changes to deliver consistent user experiences.
- QA unreleased apps and games in various test environments before final release up onto various app stores around the world.
Desired Skills & Experience
• Must have 2 years of solid, demonstrable mobile experience.
• Must demonstrate a strong technical communication skills in both English (written) and Korean.
• Must be a confident, experienced software engineer who has a familiarity with the development tools and frameworks for both iOS and Android.
• Must have demonstrable experience developing mobile titles that require server side communication as part of the overall application architecture.
• Must have a track record using various mobile-specific 3rd party tools/services and be capable of eliciting the role of such tools in the game development lifecycle.
• Must have a strong belief in agile development practices. Vanilla Breeze practices company-wide SCRUM.
• Ideally would enjoy playing mobile/casual games and be capable of demonstrating an understanding of various mobile game play mechanics
• Cocos2d, Cocos2dx, Open GL, Unity experience considered a plus
